USAF F-22 RAPTOR FILMED BY CHRISTOPHER VASQUEZ

PRODUCTION HIGHLIGHTS

BOEING VERTICAL LIFT
MESA, AZ
One of the best things about working with Boeing is the vast array of aerospace efforts they represent. When you think about iconic aircraft, the CH-47 Chinook with its twin rotors may be one of the most recognizable. Our task was to film Boeing’s latest CH-47F Block II in a way that showed the helicopter’s power, speed and modernized control for display at air shows, trade shows and online. The video now plays on Boeing.com and may also be playing the next time you visit Boeing at one of their many Vertical Lift events.
HOTEL POLARIS
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO
The US Air Force Academy near Colorado Springs sets the backdrop for a luxurious new hotel and visitor center. The hotel has been thoughtfully decorated with artifacts and images from the USAF Academy, led by BLUR Workshop, many of which were filmed or photographed by Christopher Vasquez. Chris has returned several times to support Hotel Polaris with new aerials and photographs. A unique aspect of this production was the use of a nearly 90-foot crane and airspace coordination to fly a sUAS (drone) in busy Academy-controlled airspace.

BOEING DEFENSE
ST LOUIS, MO
The future of flight is taking to the sky in the form of a sophisticated new aircraft called the MQ-25 Stingray. The remotely crewed MQ-25 will extend the defense of the US Navy’s carrier task force by hundreds of miles, all while freeing up aircrew and fighter aircraft. Our purpose as filmmakers is to encapsulate the milestones leading up to MQ-25 Flight 1 of the first production aircraft. Unique aspects of this production include working around a large first-of-its-kind aircraft and capturing aerials alongside a craft with no human in it. To accomplish this our team is utilizing a drone and an A-4 jet aircraft to fly alongside the MQ-25 for its first flight.
BLUR WORKSHOP
ATLANTA, GA
One of the latest and largest resorts in Colorado is the Gaylord Rockies Resort near the Denver International Airport. Chris was brought in by BLUR Workshop to document their finished work on the resort. A unique aspect of this job was the artistic architectural photography, which complemented and elevated the BLUR design language. Working alongside BLUR, Chris was able to deliver over 1,400 photos and aerials in under 3 days.

FUTURE OF FLIGHT
Studio 51 was founded by Christopher Vasquez, a filmmaker and former F-16 fighter pilot. Chris has over a decade of experience in film aviation, studio film production and commercial ad work. He has filmed in some of the most diverse and exciting locations on the globe, including Mongolia, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, England, Alaska and across the United States. Work includes feature films, commercials and aerials for both TV and ads.
Chris’ area of expertise is to plan, fly and film in military and civilian aircraft to include test flight support. Chris, in an ATAC-flown Mirage F-1, filmed Boom Supersonic’s XB-1 as it broke the sound barrier for the first time in 2025.
